A fascinating post from Chris Dillow about the distinction between relative poverty and inequality. Wonder whether it will make some of the leftwing commentators lauding relative poverty reconsider that they might choose to prioritise two things- absolute poverty and inequality.

Yes, the concept of 'absolute poverty' is one they seem unable to grasp.
Yeah noticed your post on the original at Stumbling and Mumbling I thought Chris did really well at disabling the relative poverty argument I suspect its a way to smuggle Equality in without using that word because that word has become perceived as so unpopular.
