Barack Obama- Communist

Yes apparantly. Because according to Lisa Schiffren over at the National Review, there are two quite obvious reasons to think someone is a communist. One is that they go out with someone with another race and even marry them: it stands to reason that they must be a goddamn commie- and if they are the kid of an interracial marriage that's even more true- afterall when you run for office, its legitimate to begin investigating everyone back to your forefather's forefather.

It is a terrible piece of journalism and illustrates to me that this isn't going to be a pleasant campaign- the knives are out. This is McCarthyism of the worst kind- its deeply unpleasant and should have no place in political journalism. Lisa Schiffren should be sacked by the National Review.

--Must read article by Cliff Kincaid called "Communism in Chicago and the Obama Connection," and here is a quote: "Palmer, Ayers, Dorhn, and Young--are much more than [previously] described. The evidence assembled in this report suggests that these individuals--and many more--are part of a network of people with socialist and / or communist connections who have been a key part of Obama's life and career." http://www.usasurvival.org/docs/chicago-obama.pdf

Anonymous- the allegations in the article seem to me to be incredibly weak. To pick up on one thing, apparantly campaigning for Bernie Sanders is evidence of Communism: I would note that Bernie Sanders is a socialist not a communist- there is a very big difference. As far as I can see Obama has met communists in his life- so by the way have I- some of them support him- surprise surprise when running against a Republican I'm sure most Communists support hte Democrat, I'll shock you with the revelation that most racists won't vote for Obama but for McCain, doesn't mean that McCain is a racist. Lets go further, Obama was nominated by his predecessor who had far left and possibly communist links- well again name me a politician who wasn't nominated by their predecessor of the same party and didn't accept the nomination.

Lastly its worth noting that all the direct ties to Obama come 10 or 20 years ago. 10 years before Tony Blair took power he was in favour of unilateral disarmanent and nationalising the top 100 companies- people change.
